One of the methods of emotional release of the body is conscious dance. It is a method of self-exploration and personal growth in the form of joyful manifestation through the dance.

Unexpressed feelings and states that you do not give vent to over time settle in the body in the form of muscle crispation. Therefore, regular loosening of the body is necessary in order to maintain a comfortable atmosphere in the family and be effective at work.

Course programme

We will focus on the foot and pelvic movements that stimulate the first and second chakras, which express our passion, our desire to live, our power, our vital confidence. For this, we will do the rooting and breathing exercises. We will be accompanied by sensual music, afro-beat, salsa, swing, oriental and Brazilian samba.
We will work on the arm movements that activate the third chakra, the center of our will, and the fourth chakra, connected to our heart. We will relax our body through stretching and breathing. We will help ourselves with the scarves, wings and sticks to accompany the movements and open our bodies. We will use the music and steps of tango, salsa, different dances for two, and the circle dance.
The focus will be on our head and hair to activate the fifth chakra, connected to the throat. The movement of the hair is like an ornamentation in many traditional gypsy, North African or Turkish dances. We will do specific breathing exercises to open and free the throat. Music from these cultures will accompany this session. We will also resume what has been done the previous times. At the end we will do a good relaxation.

Beginners module consists from four 1,5 hour long sessions.

People dancing
We will work on the duality of the masculine and feminine genders present in each and everyone. We will use specific movement and breathing techniques to activate our sixth chakra, which corresponds to our intuition and creativity. We will thus create involuntary movements, alone or in pairs. A moment of improvisation will be left so that everyone can meet their own story, do their own pantomime dance, and, for a moment, become an actor in their own existence.
Fourth session
I am a Dance Instructor and Choreograph with over 20 years’ experience. Successful at working with adults, young adults as well as kids. I have stage and theatrical dance production experience. Dance Culture and Philosophy promoter, International Festivals organiser and Dance show Producer.

Healing power of dance can be applied to any situation in life. I was giving classes for women and teenagers in a prison and rehabilitation centres. I have experienced working with mentality and physically injured and abused people. That taught me to accept the reality as it is with patience and compassion.

I always encourage participants to develop artistically and bring them from the offices on the stage. I believe and witness that self-expression in a safe space can change the rhythm of the whole life.

Frequently asked questions

I have never taken dance classes before. Is the course beginners friendly?
Dance: it is totally doable. The dance is a dynamic way to both workout and to enjoy in the same breath. It is simple, progressive and enjoyable.
I have been practising dance for a while now. Will this course be interesting for me?

Dance: This approach allows us to connect and explore ourselves from the place where we are. It is not about covering the distance but to go deeper in the warrens of your body, movement and spontaneously express it. Spontaneity cannot come when you expect something, it comes with inner relaxation. So, trust your intuition, come and have a taste of a class.
Do I need special clothes to practise dancing?
Dance: We want to be comfortable which means wear something that you can easily move in. Yoga or workout pants, sports bra, fitted tank top, or fitted t-shirt are best. Dance shoes such as jazz shoes, ballet slippers, foot undies, or socks are all acceptable foot attire, no street shoes in the studio. Please bring a yoga mat or a towel, we will use it for warm-up. The class can be rigorous so water is highly encouraged.
Are there any restrictions to participate?
Dance: There are none!!! All shapes, sizes, ages and tenders are welcome! If you have a disability that would require special accommodations contact the instructor before class so that they can be made.

How big is the group?

There are limitations up to 10 persons. A group like this allows us to create a safe and comfy space together.
I have paid for the whole course but cannot attend one of the sessions, do I lose my money?
No, you won't lose your money. If you have missed one or more sessions you can attend missed classes during the next course. All you have to do is contact us and reserve your place for next month.
